We are a family-owned farm and ranch that is home to three adored Rhodesian Ridgebacks.  Seven years ago we began our search for a new family dog and discovered the Rhodesian Ridgeback and fell deeply in love with the breed.  Kali, our first ridgeback, became part of our family six years ago and then came Buddy and then Sunshine.  We thoroughly enjoyed Sunshine's first two litters of puppies and were excited to see them go to wonderful new homes.  Our dogs enjoy the wooded ranch land in South Central Texas with freedom to run and hunt on 25 acres which includes a 10 acre pond for swimming.  Our dogs are part of our family and we feel blessed to have their devotion and affection.

If you are new to the Rhodesian Ridgeback breed, we suggest you research and study the breed to make a knowledgeable decision with your situation in mind.  They are a large dog that loves to run, but are also content to lay on the couch next to you.  They are quite intelligent, which is a good thing until you find that they have outsmarted you!  That is why it is especially wise to be diligent in your training.  They love their family and want to be with their "people" so should not be left out in the yard for extended periods without attention and human interaction.  In watching our dogs, we have found our females especially love to hunt, but our male dog prefers to "guard" his family.  Where we go, he goes, keeping watch - our private sentinel.  Actually, all of our ridgebacks are great watchdogs alerting us to anything they regard as unusual.  Also they get along with our much older dachshund and beagle.  As you can tell, we love our ridgebacks!
